With Georgia’s dominant 59-21 win over the Massachusetts Minutemen on Saturday, they clinched a spot in the 2024 SEC Championship game, securing their position ahead of the latest College Football Playoff bracket rankings.
The title game will feature Georgia and the winner of next Saturday’s Texas vs. Texas A&M matchup.
In the blowout victory against UMass, quarterback Carson Beck completed 20-of-31 passes for 297 yards and four touchdowns.
The Bulldogs are second in the Southeastern Conference and ranked No. 8 in the AP Top 25poll.
Prior to Saturday’s win, Georgia was ranked No. 11 in the College Football Playoff bracketrankings, while Texas sat at No. 2 and Texas A&M missed the cut.
Georgia already faced Texas this season in Week 8, securing a 30-15 win. The Bulldogs have not, and will not, face Texas A&M in the regular season.
Georgia will play Georgia Tech on Friday at home in their final regular season game.
