The matchup between the New York Giants and the Carolina Panthers in Week 10 of the 2024 NFL season will take place on November 10 at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. Both teams have struggled this season, sitting near the bottom of the league in various offensive and defensive metrics.
The Giants (2-7) are coming off a tough loss but have a slight edge over the Panthers (2-7) in terms of overall team performance, mainly due to their better defensive play. New York ranks 15th in defensive efficiency and leads the league in sack rate (12.3%), which could be critical in disrupting the Panthers’ young quarterback, Bryce Young, who has had issues with accuracy and deep throws. On offense, the Giants rank near the bottom, averaging only 5.1 yards per play on first down, the worst in the NFL
The Panthers’ offense has also been inconsistent, with Young struggling in downfield passing, completing just 39% of passes over 10 yards. The Panthers’ defense ranks poorly against the pass, allowing the second-highest opponent passer rating this season. On Paper, this game is ugly, but there are still some good opportunities to cash in.
Malik Nabers Over 71.5 Rec Yards -115
As of the 2024 NFL season, Malik Nabers, playing as a wide receiver for the New York Giants, has had a solid start to his rookie year. Over the first seven games, he has recorded:
- 55 receptions
- 557 receiving yards
- 3 touchdowns
- 10.1 yards per reception
- An average of 79.6 yards per game
Nabers longest reception of the season has been 39 yards, and he has been targeted 84 times. Nabers has shown good consistency, with his best performance coming in a recent game where he caught 9 of 11 targets for 59 yards. This is going to be his most favorable matchup yet as wide receivers have been carving up this Panther’s defense. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nabers hits the 100-yard receiving mark so I think there’s great value to get him at this number.
Xavier Legette Over 39.5 Rec Yards
Xavier Legette, the wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers, has had a solid rookie season in 2024. As of Week 9, he has recorded 26 receptions for 244 yards, averaging 9.4 yards per catch. He has also scored four touchdowns so far this season. His best game came in Week 4, where he had 6 receptions for 66 yards and 1 touchdown. Legette’s biggest play of the season so far was a 35-yard reception against the Denver Broncos.
He has emerged as a reliable option for Bryce Young. With his physicality and impressive speed, Legette looks poised to continue making key contributions to the Panthers’ offense. With Diontae Johnson being traded to the Ravens and Adam Thielen being out due to injury Legette will be Young’s main target. This is a good spot for him to get at least 40 receiving yards.
Daniel Jones Over 198.5 Pass Yards -110
As of the 2024 NFL season, Daniel Jones has played in 9 games, completing 194 of 304 pass attempts (63.8% completion rate) for 1,880 yards. He has thrown 8 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, with a passer rating of 82.9. His average yards per game is 208.9, and his yards per attempt stands at 6.2. Despite these statistics, he has faced significant pressure, with 27 sacks totaling 157 yards lost.
This is a great spot for Jones to get back over the 200 passing yards mark. This Carolina pass defense is one of the worst in the league. Even though Daniel Jones hasn’t been great we’ve seen him have some good performances putting up 281 pass yards against the Cowboys and 264 pass yards against the Steelers. He’s fully capable of having a good outing, especially against his Panthers team.
