The good news is the Cincinnati Bengals are not eliminated from NFL postseason contention after their third consecutive lossand fourth in five games.
But their chances of making the playoffs aren’t good with a 4-8 record (1-5 at home) and just five games – including a rematch with the Steelers – left in their season.
Pro Football Focus’ Timo Riske reported after Sunday’s 1 p.m. games that the Bengals’ odds of making the playoffs were 1.8 percent.
NFL.com had the Bengals’ postseason chances at 4 percent.
ESPN’s Mike Greenberg tweeted after the game that he “waited much too long” to give up on the Bengals.
