The New York Giants (2-9) will take on the Dallas Cowboys (4-7) this Thursday evening at AT&T Stadium in their 12th game of the 2024 regular season.
Opening the week, the Giants were listed as 3.5-point road underdogs and that’s exactly where the spread remains as of this writing.
How does the Giants Wire staff see this Week 13 battle shaking out? Here’s a look at our picks and score predictions:
Dan Benton: Cowboys 29, Giants 10
It’s the Cowboys. It’s a national game. It’s in Dallas. It’s on Thanksgiving. The Giants do not fare well in any of those scenarios and are now starting a third-string quarterback and will have deep reserve tackles starting against Micah Parsons & Co. Frankly, if the Giants limit this to a score of 29-10 they should consider it a small victory.
John Fennelly: Cowboys 26, Giants 17
The Cowboys played hard for Mike McCarthy last week in Washington and came out with a win. The Giants played soft for Brian Daboll versus Tampa Bay and got embarrassed at home. The Giants’ run defense has disappeared over the past five weeks allowing 185 yards per game. Dallas has won 14 of the last 15 meetings and the Giants haven’t won in Big D since 2016. They are also just 1-8 on National TV under Brian Daboll.
Tyler Henry: Cowboys 31, Giants 13
The Giants offense really struggled to move the ball last week in their first game with Tommy DeVito under center. The Cowboys put up 34 points last week. Games against the NFC East have not been kind to the Giants and I expect that to continue on Thursday.
Serena Burks: Cowboys 28, Giants 10
The Giants and Cowboys are both having horrible seasons, albeit for different reasons. The Cowboys, though, have double the wins of the Giants. They lost their quarterback to a season-ending injury, the Giants lost theirs in an effort to placate the masses, which was an epic fail. This game will be a battle of the defenses, and with the Giants’ less-than-stellar offensive line play last week, the Cowboys will get to Tommy DeVito. This might not be the blowout that the Giants suffered to the Bucs last week, but it’s not going to be pretty and the Giants are going to lose.
Jeevan Kirkland: Cowboys 17, Giants 13
I expect this one to be a hard-fought Thanksgiving battle. That said I do not think this game will be in the least bit entertaining. Both teams have a disastrous quarterback situation and quite a few injuries. However, the Cowboys have had the Giants’ number over the last decade and do not expect much to change on Thursday in Dallas.
